Who: Paul and Sheila
What: Advice and fun times
Where: 1005 and we'll see
When: Umm. The day after this.
Warnings: Not likely.

She'd managed to leave work early, driving home with enough time to change before heading up. She didn't have much hopes for Mr. Oceaneer on the 10th floor, but she was trying to pay more attention to her neighbors. They were important in a way. If she looked out for them, they might look out for her. If she needed it - which was fairly doubtful.

She pulled on a loose pair of black capris, along with a tank before grabbing a bottle of grape juice from the fridge. It would be a more funny accompaniment then wine at any rate. She took the elevator. A tongue was stuck out at Pseudo's door before she rapped on 1005.

Her grin was entirely cheeky. "Of course not. Part of the lesson is figuring it out." She stepped up to the counter, doing the work for both of them. Her tastes weren't too picky and since Em, she'd learned to expand her choices. Ham and pineapple was fine by her. As the lady at the register rang it up, she asked how many tokens they needed. Sheila raised a brow at Paul. "Are we playing games tonight?"

Games? Were they playing games? Oh, hell. Why not? A dose of air hockey or some skee ball wouldn't kill him.

"Uh, sure," Paul said, wondering how many token things they'd even need. "We'll take one hundred." Was that enough? He hadn't been to a place like this in, well, maybe forever. But he just went with that for now, and handed over the cash to pay for this fine dining and gaming experience. "If I beat you at air hockey, you'll have to tell me the meaning of the story," he stipulated.

She couldn't help the smirk as he said they were to play. Good. It couldn't hurt to lighten up - and they were both well aware of the cheesiness. As the girl handed back the tokens and a tray with their number, along with forks and knives Sheila raised a brow.

"And what happens if I beat you? What do I get? You still owe me a story, Paul." It wasn't like her to forget such things and she hadn't; a friendly reminder now, that was all.

Now to find a table, he supposed? So they could wait for their delicious and amazing ham and pineapple cardboard pizza? Paul took proffered tray and tokens, then began winding his way through the crowd of little people with Sheila, until they found a table toward the back.

"I owe you a story, Ms. Storyteller?" Paul asked, as if shocked. "Well, I guess I do, so that seems fair. I'll tell you one if you beat me but you'll have to specify what you want it to be about otherwise I'll tell you any old boring story."

Far enough back that the happy screams from the children were slightly muffled and the pop music echoed terribly, Sheila approved of the table. She slipped into the booth pulling the cup of coins off to begin making two even piles. Metal coins stacked high and she smiled, half to herself.

"I want to hear about your lady," she said simply. "Even if she's not exactly your lady yet or was before." She didn't want to make assumptions after all.

"My lady?" Paul, of course, blushed a slight crimson. His leg was bouncing nervously but he put an end to that and folded his hands on the table. "Oh, well...it's sort of...strange." How to describe it? He wasn't even sure he could put it into words. "We work together. Just started working together, I mean. And I feel like I've known her for years, like I already know her from somewhere. She seems so familiar to me. Isn't that weird?"

She continued to make her stacks of coins, looking around them at him. "Are you sure you've never met her before?" More coins went higher and her tongue stuck out between her lips in thought. She wasn't one for it, exactly but she did suggest, "If you haven't, some people believe in reincarnation."

Paul arched an eyebrow at the question, watching Sheila beyond the twin token towers. "I'm absolutely sure," he confirmed. He would have remembered someone like Cassie. She wasn't easily forgettable. "...reincarnation?"

Wasn't that some crazy cracked out idea, like, when you died you could come back as a pair of tennis shoes? "What exactly do you mean?" Paul asked. "What would she be a reincarnation of?"
