James grasped the mason jar and turned it in his hands, glancing at the girl through his eyelashes and a smirk forming on his mouth. "Lucy, like the Peanuts character?" He gently placed the jar back onto the counter and waved a hand towards it before crossing his arms over his chest.
"I'll take the jar and the bright flowers you just showed me. I think some white lilies with it would be nice. Right? Break up the color a little." He smiled at the feel of her hand and the near spark it made. He leaned closer to Lucy and took her in. He was being a complete flirt and obviously checking her out but he felt that this was only right. Which was weird; all of this was weird. But still it felt right.
"I've never been here. Just moved back to California a few weeks ago. I've been out of the state for years. But... I don't know, do you live around here? I feel like I've seen you before." His voice came out silky smooth and his smile was flirtatious. He didn't know what had come over him. A female? Really? But she was just so cute and he felt like he knew her, knew every inch of her, and had known her for years.
