Dominic Ramírez || Quetzalcoatl ([info]plumageablaze) wrote in [info]paxletalelogs,
Dominic had his morning activities planned to a relatively manageable amount. Nothing too extreme, but he did like to stick to at least the outline of a schedule. He could be flexible--he could, given an appropriate situation--and didn't mind a little wiggle room now and then. But he was a stickler for following at least the basics of routines he'd formed long ago. One of those basics, a very important one as a matter of fact, was the sensible notion of leaving for work with plenty of time to spare should traffic be horrendous. It was only common sense.

And so it was that the sight which presented itself upon his arrival into the lobby was none too pleasing. Dominic hadn't met most of his neighbors since taking up residence, and thus the limp form of a man blocking the front doors wasn't familiar to him in the slightest. Maybe Dominic had seen him in passing. But either way, he only presented himself as an obstacle.

Dominic checked his watch before nearing the doorway, thinking that maybe the man would hear him approaching and do the appropriate thing: move out of the way. He still had time to get to work, but he didn't want to chance being late.

Upon unfortunate closer inspection (and from the advantageous viewpoint of standing directly in front of the individual), it became all too clear to Dominic that the man seemed to be out cold. Or maybe not, if today was Dominic's lucky day. He cleared his throat in what he hoped was a casual manner, waiting to see if the body below him would react.
