Dov was completely floored by Elias' reaction, to say the least. Eyes wide, he could only stare as this complete stranger was actually defending him. They'd met, what, ten minutes ago? People Dov had known for years and years hadn't defended him like this. Why did this guy care so much, anyway? He wasn't really sure how he felt about it. On one hand it was good, because hell, nobody else seemed to care much, but at the same time, why him? Somehow, though, it wasn't as creepy to Dov as he expected. Huh.
It took a second for Dov to even respond to Elias once the man had turned toward him again, mouth hanging open a little as he tried to process what had just occurred. "Uh... Uh, yeah, let's get outta here." Holy shit, he thought. This guy is a total badass! Part of him wanted to look back at Charlie, but at the same time he didn't want to risk... getting his eyes clawed out or whatever she might do.
