"No," Elias said at that suggestion, stepping forward and nodding to Ben, whom he'd passed in the lobby before. He hadn't wanted to get involved. It was no concern of his. But, like Charlie and like Ms. St. Giles, there was something more to this one than he could immediately see. A reason, as of yet hidden, for him to step in. If he were being honest with himself, Elias knew he would have said something to this kid anyway -- but now that Charlie was involved, there was truly no question.
"He won't go to see her alone. I'll take him to her."
That way, if Charlie didn't want him around, Elias could be certain that she wasn't harrassed.
