Lily didn't particularly enjoy this shop. The men who ran it were pompous and had their heads up their butts but it was the only place that Lily could get decent amounts of herbal remedies in a nice pill form. Today's trip was to restock on some natural remedies that would power up Max's energy. Well, she hoped it would anyway. But the store associate that was raising his voice broke Lily out of her little world.
Turning to look for the cause of disturbance Lily's blue-green eyes settled on a familiar form. Adam, one of the residents of her apartment complex whom she had met a few times, was being cornered by one of the men from the store. Placing the pill bottle back on the shelf Lily took a few steps forward. Whatever the cause of this was, she didn't care to see how this man was treating Adam. She didn't know the man very well but she found him to be sweet and this type of treatment of him raised an fierce protectiveness that Lily had only ever felt for Max.
She slipped closer, cutting between them and placing a thin hand on Adam's shoulder. "Well, isn't it nice to see you here," she said cheerfully before turning an angry glare to man. "He's just in the store and doing nothing wrong, you can't refuse service for that."
