This was hardly the response Shae had expected from his ravishing new companion, and he very nearly giggled with glee. Er, well, he would have giggled with glee, except that this would have been a terribly unmanly brand of reaction...and his tongue was a little preoccupied at the moment.
She tasted so sweet on his lips, a mixture of something rich and vaguely salty, and as he tore his mouth away from hers to redirect attention along the graceful, maddeningly erotic curve of her throat, he gave a low groan of appreciation. Shae wasn't exactly known for his restraint in these matters, but even he had never actually gone all the way in an elevator. Of course, this line of thought implied that they would, in fact, go all the way when they'd only just met, only just kissed. In the span of about ten minutes.
Somehow, he doubted she would refuse any further advances on his part.
With this in mind, he quickly began to shuck off his jacket, lips never parting from the silky skin at the hollow of her throat. The motion revealed the loaded shoulder holster strapped across his upper torso, but he paid it no mind as his hand groped at her skirt. Completely disrobing would have been impractical given their current situation, but with a few minor adjustments, this could actually work. Damn well better work, because his fly felt like it had reached the breaking point.
His fingertips grazed the angular slope of her knee, and his palm slid up along the inside of her leg, dragging the hem of the dress along with it to expose one milky thigh. A simple shift left her straddling one of his legs, and he maneuvered her firmly back against the wall so that every curve, every soft line of that delicious body pressed desperately into his own.
He'd trailed his kisses down to her neckline, fully intending to tug the offending material out of the way, when his lips brushed over a smooth ridge of skin, and he pulled back to examine the irregularity. It was the jagged edge of the scar he'd only glanced back in the parking lot, but it was far more prominent in the fluorescent glare of the elevator. He considered this new development for several seconds, though the expression on his face was one of curiosity, not judgment.
