Who: OPEN
What: The Halloween party continues, now with far more elaborate costumes...
Where: The Empty Grave
When: 9 p.m. until
Warnings: Just assume this one's going to get naughty.
Notes: This is the transformation post! Again, subject line denotes location. Go shed those mortal skins!

As it had been with Pax Letale, so it was with its tenants: The shift from mundane to immortal was somehow creeping but immediate, passing almost beneath notice until the change was complete. Clothing faded rather than being shed; some deities remained in their humans' attire, some wore their old familiar kit, but all were utterly changed. The DJ played on, bartenders and waitstaff wound through the crowd, guests from outside the strange apartment danced and talked and flirted still with the partners who had brought them, all of them oblivious to the inhuman nature of the beings beside them. But for the residents of Pax, everything was about to change.

Grinning wickedly, Coyote sidled next to her again and pulled her into his arms, making sure his fur was in contact with as much of her exposed skin as possible. "I can help with that," he leered, "in whatever way you would like." He held her against him for just a bit longer before stepping back, once more eyeing her deliciously lush form. "Jack needs to be reminded of the sweetness of living, too. He tries too hard and ruins things, mostly for himself. He could stand to be shaken up a little."

Coyote thought for a moment, then he gave a sharp, barking laugh. "Ohhoho, I know!" Bending down, he poked through the clothing on the floor, then straightened, dangling a set of keys from one clawed finger. "You wish to feel the night air and see the stars, beloved one?" He twirled the keys on his claw, a wild gleam in his eyes. "I can arrange that."

"I wouldn't have said I did if I didn't mean it." Changing Woman's dark eyes sparkled and her smile teased him. Any flush from the shared warmth of his invasion into her personal space was safely hidden by her deeply bronzed skin and she gave a nonchalant little shrug. Then she reached out to steal the keys from his hand, holding them up to the dimly swirling lights of the dance floor and watching them catch the shimmer. She smiled wider. "Do you know how to use these?" she asked lowly. "I want those stars badly, Trickster, but not to badly as to risk this lovely form."

Coyote only smiled and caressed her cheek, his eyes once more drinking in her deliciously lush figure. "I wouldn't want to risk your lovely form either. Don't worry, I have wandered around in Jack's mind and body enough to know how to operate his car machine thing without damaging it or us."

As he held out his paw to collect the keys from Changing Woman, he caught a whiff of something on the air. He lifted his head, heightened senses tasting the familiar scent, and grinned. "Ah, there is another here you will know! Don't think he will require Jack's car, as he has wings of his own." Turning his grin on her, Coyote leaned over and nuzzled her neck with his cold wet nose. "Shall we seek him out before we seek out the stars?"

Changing Woman instinctively turned her head in the same direction Coyote looked and her eyes half-lidded, chin lifting in consideration - coincidentally allowing for more freedom of contact between sun-warm skin and canine nose. She did not have the senses that Coyote had but she nearly tasted the half-familiar aura on her lips. Licking them thoughtfully, she nodded with an increasing smile. "I think we should invite Brother Raven," she murmured. "He might even keep you chasing your tail enough for me to properly enjoy the night air."

She drew away from his clinging touch but soothed the parting by dragging the fingers of one hand down his arm to tangle her fingers with the warm padded digits of his paw. "Come along, my clever friend." She gave a little tug and he shifted his weight quite willingly. She felt the power rise up within her and inhaled deeply until she felt near to bursting. Yes, she could call obedience to her yet, a hint of tame beast from wild things.

Changing Woman gave another tug and laughter erupted from her. "Yes, let's seek out Raven and all enjoy the night." Nothing would escape any of them if she had any control left and, if sweet Kami cared to take note, she would learn the joy of allowing the goddess to surface on a more regular, less-pained basis.

Tonight was for learning and teaching and exploring and Changing Woman had waited too long to taste the world again.
