Spa Day
Who: Lia and Kami
What: A day at the spa can resolve so much tension, don't you think?
Where: Sedona Sunrise
When: 10/15/10
Warnings: Nothing worse so far than the unfortunate side effects massages always have on Kami.
Placeholder for a Gdoc.
Maybe a massage had not been the wisest of ideas, Kami thought as her attendant pressed knuckles into a series of knots at the base of her back. She tried hard not to squirm in delicious sensation and, instead, squeezed her eyes shut tightly as she focused on the fact that Lia was no more than six feet to her right in the peaceful room far at the back of Sedona Sunrise, day spa extraordinaire. She tried to focus on the treat, on the fact that it was being reasoned away as an early birthday treat to herself. The problem with counting out the bill in her head, though, was it went directly counter to what the attendant was trying to do. A particularly deft touch shifted something low in her back and Kami's mind immediately derailed, a low almost-moan slipping from between her lips. She felt insanely lucky that the padded rest beneath her face blocked the instant heat that rose to her cheeks at the noise.
Yes, a massage had not been the best idea in the world and she knew that she would spend the next hour (at least) squirming in frustration. But Lia had suggested a long few hours of Girl Time and she desperately needed for it to be outside of Pax Letale and away from certain jackasses who went through random days of stalkery so here they had landed. Besides that, they had other things to discuss. Oh, yes. That was something that could remove her mind from the increasingly amazing sensation of tingling delirium cascading through her muscles.
"Halloween," she suddenly announced, somewhat muffled by the padding. Then she laughed at how ridiculous it sounded after a straight fifteen minutes of silence. "Sorry," she clarified, "I meant to say, I guess our Halloween party is off. What with the management deciding to throw us something bigger than... Mmm, bigger than anything we were planning." She sighed. "So much for my chocolate amaretto cupcakes, huh?"
