Easy Like Sunday Morning
Who: Mirza and Kami
What: Even exotic dancers and shop wenches have to have a day off sometimes.
Where: Starting in the lobby, on to Kami's apartment.
When: 10/24/10
Warnings: None at the moment.

With one ear-bud in and her iPod treating her to some Lady Gaga remixes, Kami hummed along cheerfully as she managed to bump open Pax's door with a well-regulated hip bump. The jolt forced her to scramble for a second to re-establish control over the multiple bags slung over her wrists and cradled in her arms but, in the end, she was triumphant. She tried not to think how she would manage to get her keys out and her apartment door open. Either she would sprout another arm, use her mouth, or do the mature thing and set something down. It didn't matter which. It was a gorgeous Sunday, just before noon, sun still shining despite a few threatening clouds, and Vons' had a sale on chocolate chips. There was also a Halloween party right around the corner and her birthday. What more could a girl ask for?

Speaking of parties, she thought, she should double-check the costume hanging in her closet. She knew it was the right size, technically, but you never could tell in the bag with off-the-rack things. As much as she wanted short and sassy, there was such a thing as too short and sassy. No need to invite the world to view the good china, right?

As she passed the bank of mailboxes, though, Kami slowed as she tried to remember if she had picked up her mail the previous day or not. She wrinkled her nose in thought, pretty mouth screwing up in concentration. Absently, she shifted her weight to one foot to better balance her bags out as she paused. She tapped the other on the floor softly, patent-leather pump making faint clicks.

How astute of her! Kami was definitely amusing him more than he might have expected. "I always need it. I'm a fiend," his hand went a little higher on her thigh and just a little inward. Well, she hadn't stopped him after all. "But no, they aren't open on Sundays. I think it might actually be against the law. The one law they obey."

Her eyes didn't even flicker away from his as her free hand came down on top of his, preventing his touch from climbing any further along her thigh. The fact that her smile never wavered, though, made it less a reprimand and just a whoa, there, cowboy. "Soooo..." The twinkle in her eye warned him about some particular horror coming but the pause was too small to run. "Sundays have blue ball laws."

He grinned broadly when her hand settled on his, stopping it. Really, he'd been quite curious when she'd step in and stop him. Mirza practically giggled at her words, taking a sip of his water. He squeezed her thigh then pulled his hand away, "Unfortunately. Something about a biblical day of rest... I don't know really. But Mondays don't." His look was a little challenging.
