Kate raised an eyebrow when James mentioned St. Patrick's Day as the worst. It wasn't the first holiday she would have criticized, but as she thought more about it, she realized that it probably had originally been a religious holiday that was now so far removed from its founding she didn't even recognize it as an important day. Even Christmas still popularly held its religious significance underneath all the advertising.
She shook her head before she spiraled down that rabbit hole of thought too much further. "I've been here since the complex opened at the beginning of the year," she answered. "You've probably seen for yourself already, but the building can be...strange."
