Kate/OPEN - 8pm - pool area
The party seemed almost too cartoonish, too casual for Kate's current mood. When the building had changed again, Kate had kept her head down and just been glad it hadn't closed them in completely. But as the days wore on, something changed. The candles in the hallways almost became a comfort, and she imagined the flames grew as she passed. She began to hold her head up high again. She felt...confident. Powerful. More so than she ever had before. And she didn't bother to question it.
Which is why she now wore an exorbitantly expensive dress she had ordered especially to go with her mask, which didn't cover up her vision or her breathing like she had feared it might. The sense of empowerment increased when she had put both on, though the feeling had dimmed at the sight of kindergarten decorations and sound of cheesy Halloween songs as she glided confidently into the Pax rec room.
Instead of making her way to the refreshment table, her usual first stop, she stepped outside by the pool and leaned against the fence, looking up through her mask and losing herself in the stars shining in the distance.
