Re: Isobel/Obed - 7:10 p.m., lobby to party room
"When you put it that way," Obed answered, "not much. But are you sure? I feel..." His voice trailed off, but his posture made clear how he felt. He maintained some modicum of pride in his walk, but to Isobel his insecurity was surely plain. As they swept into the room he brushed a hand over the elaborately embroidered cloth of his costume. It had cost a pretty penny, and he was earnestly glad of that, happy to see Isobel becoming somewhat more comfortable with their means.
"It looks like the mandatory mask policy went over pretty well." He cast an eye about the room, smiling softly as he took in the revelers in all their costumed glory. After a solid month of bizarre occurrences, it was pleasant to see everyone relaxing a bit, simply enjoying the season for what it could be. He chuckled, putting on a feigned frown, and pointed to where Gabe strolled about in a well-fitted suit. "Although I didn't realize I could've just done that," he teased.
