He was honest, and that mattered, and she suspected he would handle even a Borg invasion with this same level of angered control. "I know what Casper did was wrong," she said, switching names as easily as if it was switching lanes. "And I know Billy doesn't get it, but Billy's the only person good enough to help him even without getting it." It was said with as much force and conviction as his own words, and the threshold around them seem to amplify the words a moment before slumbering once more.
She looked into those ice blue eyes when he asked his final question, and she just quirked a brow, voice thoughtful. "You know something too," she guessed. "I asked Billy if finding Casper's real family might help, and he went strange. He might have even stopped glowing for a minute."
