He regarded her skillful work with an impressed look, his mouth turning down and jutting out his bottom lip with no small amount of exaggeration. It melted into an easy smile. He happily accepted the next drink to come his way, taking another drink as though to wet his throat before replying.
"I am," he admitted. "Though thank god today is a drinking holiday, because it's an incredibly easy way to cover nerves. I'm waiting for someone, and of course he's late. I don't think he's doing his eyebrows, though, but I could be wrong. Punctuality isn't people's strong suit, I've learned." Of course, normally Chris never would've admitted such a thing to anyone, let alone a complete stranger. But the liquor easily made it seem like a good idea.
