Re: Near the Entrance
The casual touch of Sam's hand to hers caused an immediate reaction in her, compelling her to move closer to him and stay near him. That subtle stroke of his thumb didn't go unnoticed, either, and she gave his hand a little squeeze in return - though her eyes stayed on their path, and she pretended nothing was strange about any of it. They arrived almost too quickly at the bar, and she released his hand with just a touch of reluctance. Though she felt a bit of guilt at Samuel's displacement of the boy, Lia wasn't one to waste an opportunity. With an apologetic look at the now-disgruntled shoegazer, she slid into the now empty spot.
Sergeant Wolfe's chivalry was a more than pleasant surprise, and she found herself liking it more than she would have predicted. With a smile to the bartender, she ordered a rum and coke, then turned to her companion.
"What are you drinking, Sam?" she asked, giving a little look at his glass.
