His brow furrowed at her comment, black eyes darting back toward the man who had so recently vacated their space. He had disappeared quite thoroughly into the crowd, but Adam remembered his face well enough; he resolved to keep an eye out for him, should he prove a problem again. "Your boss?" he asked, moving the conversation along. A small smile quirked at the corner of his mouth. "Seems a little high profile for a place like this. I doubt you'll be seeing him." He nibbled a sliver of ice, crushing it beneath a sharp canine. "There's only one other person I want to see," he added, looking across the writhing crowd toward the door. His black lacquered nails tapped at his glass, marking out the steady beat of the DJ's newest track. "If I see her at all, I won't stay gone long. Promise."
