Once she'd accepted her drink, Alexandria shook her head at Adam's apology and his question, as well as Mo's. She was relieved to have them back and sat more easily at their table. It was the most intimate venue she'd been to, and she liked the idea of coming here more often, so long as the asshats stayed away.
"The only other person I know of who lives around here is my boss," she replied, looking around in case she was missing someone or something. "I don't mind waiting here," she said. "Just don't leave me alone too long," she wrinkled her nose. "There seem to be some strange ideas about how to get a girl's attention floating around in here."
She took a long sip of her drink, instantly feeling a slight warming effect as she did. It was something of a relief.
