At the bar
Once she had his agreement she perked up, immediately turning and leading him towards the bar. She only glanced back occasionally, just making sure she hadn't lost him in the crowd. She squeezed into an open spot at the bar, more focused on trying to flag down the bartender than realizing who all was nearby. If she looked harder, she might have at least seen the guy she had gone out with earlier that day. But at first glance, all she saw was a sea of unfamiliar faces.
Finally, she was able to grab a bartender. She ordered a grey goose and cranberry to start herself with, and then faltered slightly on the other half of her order. She turned back to look at the guy over her shoulder. "What'll you have, stranger?" One hand gestured up to the bartender awaiting the order.
