Re: By the stage
Adam nodded, looking up to their new arrival. Introductions of a sort had been made earlier via text, and for the moment, at least, it seemed no further greeting would be necessary. He leaned down to Alex, needlessly confirming her drink preferences. A quick glance to the bar turned up a single, narrow empty space; it was to this opening Adam turned his steps, gesturing for Momoko to follow behind. The press of people was close, but he slipped through them all the same, a small path opening the farther away they moved from the stage.
"Good to meet you," he said at last, glancing down to his companion as they reached the crowded, liquor-smeared bar. He was careful not to brush too close, fearful of the damage it might cause to his impeccably cared-for attire. "Thanks for the help."
Ordering proved a largely painless affair. The harried bartenders flitted from one patron to the next as their own whims demanded; soon enough one slight young woman took notice of the pair at the end of the bar. She took their orders and attended to them quickly enough, and soon they were winding their way back to their table, and to the thumping bass beyond.
