Snakes. How bloody well predictable. Honestly, couldn't Angel even manage to keep pests from taking over the place where he kept the people that he supposedly cared about? Spike was, quite obviously, a little furious about their current situation. Buffy had been bitten, as had Willow and their post puberty version of Xander. Now dozens of others were taking on attacks as well and Spike knew damn well that Angel was probably busy bossing everyone around while Buffy and the Scoobs were all suffering from their bites. He was probably enjoying it all. It made him sick, and Spike knew that when all of this was good and done with that he'd be feeling a little more bitter toward Angel than he usually was. Scowling, the vampire shuffled out of his room with a gleaming sword slung over his shoulder. The sword was probably the best way for him to go when he came down to hacking at snakes on the ground. Spike considered telling Angel that he was going to sue him over running an unhealthy establishment, but then he remember that he wasn't even paying to stay there so he shrugged and started walking down one of the halls.
It didn't take very long for him to spot a particularly large snake slowly curling its way toward him. Really? Was that what all the fuss was about? It was just a silly old -- fuck! Spike leapt back as the snake's head rose and it's pointed teeth snapped at him. Well, okay. Maye the damned thing was a bit more dangerous than it had seemed. But still. Snakes were nothing on vampires, demons, and rabid Star Wars fans bent on killing off the first bloke who insulted their favorite character. Which Spike did frequently. He quickly stepped forward and raised his sword high above his head. It came down fast and, in a flash, chopped the snake's head off in a single blow. The body writhed for a moment before it went still, eventually lying in a lifeless heap in it's own pool of blood. Spike stepped over it's body and headed for the stairs, his eyes traveling in search of anyone injured as he went along.
