Babies typically needed a lot of stuff, after all, and although that might be less so in the primitive environment here, he was sure it was still true. He was already planning to make a basket for the baby to sleep in for the first few months when it was little, a crib when it got a bit older, a swing, a changing table. Yeah, they'd fill the cabin up eventually.

Then he bent down and put one arm under her legs, the other arm behind her back and swept her up into his arms, picking her up easily. Then he carried inside the cabin and deposited her back on her feet in the middle of the living room.
