Link & Sydney
Even though she'd loosened up considerably in the nearly four months that she'd been on the island, Sydney still wasn't the most outgoing or social person and her instinct was to stick to the fringes of a group. The house that Finnick and the others built was amazing and exploring it appealed to her architectural senses. In some ways, it was primitive like the structures in Ancient Greece and Rome that she loved, but it was also far more modern in other ways.
After satisfying her curiosity for the building itself, she cast her gaze around to the party goers. With Chloe's laptop playing music, it was hard to remember that they were on a tropical island that had nothing a short time ago. It was easy to imagine that she was in a modern city, at the kind of Alchemist gatherings that always made her uncomfortable growing up.
Shaking off those thoughts, she spotted one of the newer arrivals and decided to introduce herself. She knew how overwhelming it could be when you first arrived here and, based on the conversation she'd seen between him and Natasha on the network, it seemed like he might be a lot more like her than most of the others. "Hi, Link, right? I'm Sydney."
