Sydney Sage ([info]passionateaura) wrote in [info]paradisolog,
Sydney & OTA
Bonfire nights were Sydney's favorite of the week. The weekly gatherings fostered a real sense of community among the volunteers, at least in her opinion, and it was nice to take a few hours off from all the work they had to do to survive her and simply enjoy their surroundings and each other's presence. She was far more relaxed about being here now, probably at least in part because she wasn't a virgin anymore and was a little more confident with herself. Her body image issues were still there, but not quite as nagging as they used to be.

She was smiling tonight, sipping a coconut shell full of coffee and wishing, not for the first time, that the gods would eventually gift them actual cookware. Or the materials to make sturdier options than what they had at the moment. Oh well. They were making do, just like they had with everything else.
