You said if you could have your way You'd make a night time all today

He was late, but he had been distracted. Thankfully there was the comm so he could read up on things and get to know a couple of young ladies on his way. He did like having information, it was power after all. To know more than others, to know more than they think you do. Ah well, this was a new start and maybe, he didn't need to be so careful around everyone. It would be hard to loosen up but if it came to that, he would try. Try to be more open around them all.

The island was beautiful and what distracted him mostly. He found himself wandering to take a peek and see beyond the trees, for lack of a better term. There was sun, so much of it. Warm and comforting. There were colors, all kinds, and he had no idea you could have so many versions of green! Shiny and dark, bright and reflective. There were purples, and pinks, blues and golds. Reds so vibrant as to shame the color of anything else. It wasn't the world he was used to, but he had left it for a reason.

True, it was more for his sister, to give her a chance without him and his issues, but that didn't mean he couldn't have something here. Something new and real. Besides, it was meant to be a place to repopulate and if there was anything he was good at, it was finding pleasure in even the direst circumstances.

Finally he saw the camp up ahead and wondered if the two women, Chloe and Quinn, would be there to greet him or if they were simply politely welcoming a newbie. Either way, he was sure there would be someone around, right?

Christmas had arrived early on the island, if you celebrated that kind of thing. Besides waking up with a bed and two of her outfits from home, one being her White Canary costume, the main camp had been littered with things that they needed, from building supplies to hygiene products. It was a good day.

Sara was moving around camp, sorting through supplies they had received and generally being as excited as Sara got about these things. She was about to turn and head back to her shelter for something, when an approaching stranger caught her eye. Strangers didn't mean jumping to automatic defense or even offense around here. New people were arriving all the time, that was the point. Still, a part of her always automatically felt guarded when a new person approached. She just didn't let that show. Too much.

Instead of heading in the direction of her shelter, she took a few steps toward this new person, drawing closer to him as he arrived in the main camp. "Hi." she greeted casually. "You must be new. Welcome to the main camp." She didn't know everyone at camp well, but she always made sure she could place names to faces shortly after people arrived. He may have already posted something on the network, but Sara wasn't quite as good with that. "Did it take you long to find us?"

The camp was larger than he expected so he assumed that more than just a few people had arrived. There were smaller buildings of sorts and a garden in one area. A pit for fires, and there were supplies out and scattered about, though somewhat organized. There was a small amount of movement and it caught his attention.

It would be hard to learn not to be on edge all the time. He was used to being hyper aware. Always on guard, having to know his surroundings at all times. SO when a woman stopped mid step to notice him, the hairs on the back of his neck and he was extra careful not to break stride.

The sound of her voice made him relax and he smiled back. "I am, my name is Mikhel, I have just arrived and was told to head inland." Offering his hand he shook his head. "No, there is a path starting to wear in the right direction, helpful, but it makes me think I may be late?"

So, yep, new arrival. "Welcome, then. I'm Sara." They really needed to make the path as obvious as possible for people to find them, though apparently this guy, Mikhel, had not had any problems getting here. It was too bad they didn't have enough power and lights long enough to string them along their slowly forming path.

"I don't know if I'd say you're late exactly. But you're not the first to arrive. The initial group of us have been here a few weeks now." not all that long, but enough to start building some make-shift version of a society. "You're just in time for the real work to begin though." Sara said with a small smirk. "We were just provided with materials to really start building some needed facilities, to hook up power and get this place running. So nice timing."

Sara stepped aside and indicated to the main camp. "This is the central location so far, basically. Most people have shelters that are close by, but we use this location for food storage, the garden, gathering for dinner and so on. It's not much, but we're getting there." Slowly by surly, they were building something that could be seen as a home.

"A pleasure Sara." He replied. The island offered so many females he started to wonder if he'd run into any other men. Surely he wasn't the only one. He wasn't naive enough to think they chose one man to be with all these women. Adolescent dreams aside.

His eyes widened slightly as he looked around. "All of this in only a few weeks. I'd say you've all worked quite hard." She mentioned more work and he laughed lightly. "Well I believe that's why I'm here. I'm excellent with electric, ran it in my club myself and the programming of the lights."

Following her farther into the camp he nodded. "I'm happy to help, I'm guessing I will need to make my own shelter as well as keep the camp going.?"
