Clarke Griffin & Octavia
In the wake of losing the man she loved, Clarke knew that coming here was the best choice for her. Back in their world, all the death and the pain would not have given Octavia the tools necessary to heal in any way, shape, or form. Being here could grant her a sense of peace and a chance for her to take the time she needed to heal. In a way, it was the same for Clarke. Coming here gave her the opportunity to heal too because back home, she would have been forced to immediately move on and accept the loss of Lexa without a time to properly mourn the loss of her lover.
"It seems to have helped you a lot," Clarke replied with a small smile. "I think its helped me too in ways. I wouldn't have had the chance to properly mourn Lexa back home. I just had to move on. Like I always did. You weren't allowed to feel grief because you have to focus on everyone else's survival." As a representative of her people, Clarke had to always put them first and what was best for them required Clarke to keep a solid steel external front despite the fact that she was obviously dying inside.
Clarke nodded. "I think so. It's just a lot of new things to take in. I'm not use to...peace. I'm adjusting though. It'll just take me time to let go of what happened in our world."
