How are you getting on here? Haven't spoken in a while.

Ray

It still stands! And I think I'm getting the hang of braiding rope.

Adrian

I heard a rumor someone is making alcohol.

Sara

Rematch?

See? I told you you were being too hard on yourself.

Yeah, yeah.

I want to make something else.

Don't "yeah, yeah" me, I was right.

What are you thinking of making?

Fine you were right. You have to imagine me sticking my tongue out at you.

I was thinking of maybe an actual structure. And furniture. Sleeping on the ground gets old after a while.

Haha that's entirely fair.

A general structure, or a new sturdier shelter? Because if you mean the latter, I was recently inspired to do the same thing, actually.

Sturdier. Something more permanent. We're going to be here a while after all.

I agree. Something just for you or a larger structure meant for more than one?

Do you know what you want to use for materials? Are you thinking more along the lines of lumber or stone?>

You're the expert, doc. Maybe stone? Keep the big bad wolf out.

I think either would be strong and sturdy if assembled properly. I'm going to use stone because I think it might block out the heat of the sun better than logs would, but my shelter-making expertise begins and ends with teepees, so I'm flying blind here just like you are.

Good idea. Hmm. Well this should be interesting. Might as well give it a shot.

Haha well, the worst thing that can happen is that it collapses and we both have to just try again. So at least there's that?

Something to think about. I'd have to think on it for a little longer to see if I could figure out how to make that work in this setting, but that's something that I've seen done in modern architecture, so it's obviously worth trying.

I was approached to train someone. Early mornings seemed like the best time, before it got too hot for her. We'll have to slow it down soon, I think. But as for right now I've got her getting up every morning.
