Since she had first arrived, Jaina had been doing her absolute best to stay out of trouble. Anyone who knew her (which, granted, was a whopping one person in this town, and even he didn't know her at the age she was now) would be able to testify to the fact that her staying out of trouble for more than a few days at a time was a reason to suspect something was amiss. After all, the girl was the offspring of Han Solo and Leia Organa. That alone meant trouble was virtually her middle name.
Still, since appearing without warning in Los Angeles, Jaina really had been trying. She'd only ventured out a handful of times and, for the most part, stuck to the hotel where she was staying. But after weeks of the same routine, and staring at the same four walls, enough was finally enough. Even the threat of Exar Kun wasn't going to keep her cooped up inside one second longer. If the ancient Sith Lord wanted to find her, a closed and latched wooden door was hardly going to keep him out. So, really, she saw no reason to punish herself by remaining locked up inside where there was an entire city just begging to be explored.
Leaving the hotel, Jaina headed toward the downtown area. She passed only a handful of people on her way, most not even giving her so much as a glance. It was strange, this anonymity that she'd suddenly discovered. For, while there was talks all over the television regarding her family (if she heard the name Anakin Skywalker one more time she honestly thought she was going to put her lightsaber through the television screen), nobody seemed to know who she was. She couldn't say she enjoyed that fact, considering she was pretty well known back home, but Jaina did have to admit it had its perks.
Rounding a corner, she very nearly bumped into someone who was coming from the opposite direction. Frowning slightly at the fact that she'd let her own thoughts distract her from her surroundings, she muttered an apology that was only half-hearted at best and, with a quick glance at the person to make sure she hadn't caused them to walk into the building or something, she continued on her way down the street. There had to be something fun to do in this city, and Jaina was bound and determined to find out what that something was.
