Half of her wanted him to just come out and say it, like pulling a bandaid off the quicker the better or some such nonesense. She wasn't an idiot and she was a hell of a lot more perceptive than she knew a lot of people gave her credit for, she had to be with the people she'd surrounded herself with for most of her life. And right now she really hated that because she knew, knew damn well, that something was wrong.
So she shrugged to the question and watched him sit, staying where she was. "Better now that Jack and Jen are back to normal," she replied. Though it would be a long time before she would forget seeing them that sick, before the anger that Lilith of all things had hurt yet more people she cared about would fade.
She glanced around, hating this moment so very much, and moved to sit on the table as well, completely and utterly lost as to how make this all seem right again.
