Lindsey's failure to condemn her never ceased to take her by surprise. He allowed her her shortcomings, and while they argued and bickered and had miscommunications, she had yet to sense any resentment on his part. It was a blessing, to feel no pressure to be 'perfect', other than that which she put on herself. "I guess," she gave in with a small smile. "Thanks."
There was a small sound of protest when Lindsey shifted, and when he leaned down, she caught his face in her hands, bestowing a quick kiss upon his lips. "I'm fine," she promised, releasing him to curl up on her side, using the arm rest as a pillow this time. "You have a nice run." Cerberus invited himself to join her, and an 'oof!' was emitted as he pounced onto her side, curling up in the crease of her legs and resting his chin against her knee. Cathy grinned sleepily.
