"It's not that," she contributed pensively, a slight grin appearing a Lindsey's assumption. "I mean, it sorta is, but not for that reason. It's the perspective shift. I think I've gotten less...selfish." She was trying, at least. It was easier to get over a bad audition when the news showcased stories of things as horrific as mass disappearances of small children.
Her eyes narrowed. "Of course." The same disproving look was shot in Lindsey's direction when he said that he would play the same card, and she seethed quietly for a moment. Debating the rights or wrongs of the situation wasn't about to help anyone, particularly when they were both so spent.
"Let me know when that happens," she requested, a hint of bitterness still lingering in her tone. "I'd like to get a word or two in, somehow."
