WHERE: The beach.
RATING: TBA
STATUS: Incomplete.
Things had been rather different between Rose and the Doctor since the two Time Ladies had made an appearance, and having had very little time to get Rose on her own for a chat without being disturbed, he really wasn't sure how she felt about the whole situation. Of course, finding out that the man you love has a granddaughter and that his presumed dead 'girlfriend' was not in fact dead... well, it was bound to put a strain on things. The Doctor wanted to try to fix things, or at least try to find out how she was coping with it, which was a very new concept to him. No matter how oblivious he was to the emotions of human women he was pretty sure he'd be right to expect she wasn't exactly jumping for joy.
Valentines Day. With Susan's obsession with the holidays humans celebrated, the Doctor was quite aware what the day entailed. Although the logical side of him knew that it was a tacky capitalist consumer holiday that did nothing more than give people an emotional guilt-trip, he also knew that this was probably a day that would have some significance to Rose. He had asked her to meet him by the beach, and by leaving before her he had managed to gather together flowers, chocolate and a card, which he now felt very uncomfortable about holding. Could he really pull this off? He thought he looked completely ridiculous, and shuffled from foot to foot, switching the items around and holding them in different ways as he tried to get to grips with the idea of them. What had he been thinking, she was going to laugh at this one!
