The depths of fall were certainly not as enjoyable to Trance as the highest of spring. The rebirth that came from the dead of winter was far more encouraging than watching everything slide into a slumber. But even as things were starting to fade, there were still signs of life within it all.
She was knelt near the flowerbeds, her hands gently cradling the seed pods that had yet to crack on a few of the plants that were still hanging on. "It's all right," Trance whispered, the tone of her voice motherly and nurturing as her thumb dragged lightly over the seams in the pod. "There's nothing to be afraid of out here. It's nice. I know it's a bit cold, but it's not going to be like that forever. And if you stay locked up in there, you'll never find out how nice it can be."
There weren't many people here to hear her, and it wasn't as though she would care if they did. She had gotten quite used to people staring at her since being here. It wasn't even that uncommon back where she was from. Besides, she couldn't let the opinions of people who really didn't understand stop her from doing what needed to be done.
A soft slow shimmered in her hand, a warmth emitting from her palm and enveloping the seed pod, "Now, I know this is cheating, but I can't just let you all miss everything, now can I?" She asked as the seams along the pod swelled and then split, dumping the seeds out into Trance's palm. Turning, she lifted her hand and blew, sending them spiraling off into the air and watching as they were caught by a gust of wind. "That wouldn't be fair."
