The feel of Mary's hand moving along her back comforted Heather. She knew that was the intetion, and she hoped the woman knew it was working. If there was one thing in life Heather had learned above all else, it was that the smallest things could mean the most. That went for gestures, too.
Nodding, she gave a sigh that caused her whole body to shudder a bit. "I was more worried about...not seeing all of you again than I was about myself. I'm not just saying that. I...I mean it. You're already like my family."
