Mary too was reluctant for their time to end, but she was thankful that it had happened at all. She didn't like the thought of him going out into the city all alone-because to Mary he would always really be her baby-but she wisely bit her tongue. Sam was a grown man now, and though she was going to do her very best to keep him safe, she knew she couldn't expect that he would listen and obey if she told him to not go out alone.
"Be careful out there." Mary said, worry clear in her voice. She leaned up, marvelling again at how tall he was, and straightened the collar of his jacket. "And take care of yourself. I know you're John Winchester's son, but you're not Superman. I don't want to lose you, Sammy. Just...be careful for me."
