If happiness could be measured by the amount of smiles and laughter coming from a single person then Alessa's happiness was at a low time low. Her mind, a cacophony of thoughts (mostly bad) were dancing around her head, and refusing to let the woman sleep. Oh, and how she actually tried to sleep that night. She had tried in vain to get comfortable, but it proved useless. Her mind was not going to allow her to sleep. Annoyed and disgusted, Alessa kicked off the covers, and swung her slender legs over the bed.
Now what was she going to do? Heather was missing, in which that fact alone made Alessa upset. Quite a few people in the Hyperion seemed concerned with something, but Alessa figured that it didn't apply to her, and so she wasn't even going to bother to ask. She thought about asking if anyone wanted to do something, but immediately rejected that idea. And at this hour, Alessa's mother would be asleep. The girl let out a sigh, and was about to subject herself to just watching television for the night. So, she turned on the TV set that was in her room, and proceeded to flip through the stations. That's when she remembered Lacroix, and also remembered that he would not be asleep at this hour. At that moment she decided that she wanted to see him, again.
She looked down at what she was wearing; a red t-shirt, and decided that she would need to dress a little bit more. Using her telekinesis she flipped on the light switch. Bright light invaded the room, and Alessa shielded her eyes until they adjusted. After they did she headed for her closet and pulled out a pair of dark colored jeans, and her black overcoat. True she didn't plan on walking there, but she rather liked the thing. As she was getting dressed she sent a mental link to the vampire. The two traded thoughts back and forth with Alessa asking if she could come over, and Lacroix giving the go ahead.
When she was ready she disappeared from her room, and reappeared right in front of his hotel room. Feeling no shyness, Alessa lightly knocked on the door, and waited.
