Flopped across the end of the bed, folded arms on Toby's legs, Sarah watched and listened as Heidi dealt with the boys, not tired herself right now due to all the events of the night, especially those of the last half hour. Toby settled as well, as Sarah figured he would, and passed out in record time because of the singing. His mother had never done those sorts of things, so she knew her brother gravitated toward that mother-ness that abounded now with Heidi Petrelli in his life.
Sliding off the bed when Heidi turned, Sarah went to hug Heidi. "I'm here for the rest of the night if you need me to be," she said, forestalling any need to ask, her voice quiet to keep from rousing the slumbering. She didn't mind being there at all. Left unsaid was everything else bubbling just inside her brain, curbed because of multiple reasons, but in the end because she wasn't certain that saying 'Nathan is an enormous asshole' would really suit anyone right now.
