Charlie was beginning to enjoy Los Angeles just a little bit. All in all the city wasn't too bad, but it certainly wasn't London. Part of him almost missed Liam, but the wanker was back in Sydney with his own little perfect family. And of course now Charlie wished he had taken him up on his offer for rehab. Because he was trying to quit the heroin, but his methods weren't really working. It wasn't like he had expected them to anyway- He was a little bit too ashamed to ask Ana Lucia for help just yet, so now he was just painfully being..well, a junkie.
But today was a good day. It was one of those days where he was actually optimistic about trying to get off of the drug that he loathed, and all he really needed was a push in the right direction. So now he was walking down the street towards the street vendors set up along the surprisingly not too busy street, humming a Driveshaft song under his breath. His eye caught a jacket that Ana would probably like, but the price tag made him keep walking. It was really an odd relationship he had with her- They were good friends though he was always paranoid about her turning him into the drug police or whoever would care, and there was flirting here and there as there was with pretty much any relationship Charlie had with a girl. And he rather enjoyed the stories that she had about him on the island. The Charlie there seemed like a better one than he was now.
This thoughts drifted as he stopped to look at a record vendor, flipping through the used vinyls, keeping his eye out for his favorite bands while humming a DriveShaft song rather high-pitchedly under his breath. He collected a few and was beginning to turn when he almost bumped into a stroller that was parked just between the record and the vintage clothing booth. His eyes caught a little fist waving in the air and he glanced down to find he was looking at a really rather cute little baby. He couldn't help but to smile as the infant let out a little almost happy sounding squeal, and he leaned down just a little so he could at least see a bit of the baby he was about to talk to. "Hey little guy." he said, content in that he hadn't made the baby burst into tears just yet. In fact, the little thing almost looked slightly pleased if it was possible for babies that young to look happy. He jerked his head up, his cheeks a little flushed. He wasn't really the type to do this random greeting to a baby of all things, and he scratched the back of his head while turning for the mum or dad. He was sure they weren't too far off, but he didn't want to leave the baby alone.
