After the night out with Booth she'd taken a couple of days to relax, not worry so much about things that dealt with vampires and hunting. But then most of the time she sat staring at or just waiting for her phone to ring or jingle with evidence of a text. Nothing, nearly a week and nothing. He'd never went that long without contacting her. Maybe she was like Booth and a few other people, stuck here and couldn't get back home. Her old life gone. That thought saddened her. What would King do without her? He'd end up dead. That much she was sure of.
Hannibal King had far too much of a mouth on him and didn't think things through. Hell, he often went off half cocked and that was dangerous. She was what balanced him out, without that balance.. it was something she couldn't let herself think about. No, now she was working, had to get her head in the game.
Perched on a rooftop she watched the club front. She hadn't seen any glyphs but sometimes they were much more secretive. Though the doormen were checking people for something before letting them in. But she had quickly learned here that not all vampires were the same, some didn't have familiars, some didn't have glyphs. None of that really mattered though in the long run, nor effected what she did.
She caught something out of the corner of her eye in the alley beside the club. She was on the move, jumping down onto the fire escape and makes her way down easily. Once her feet were on the ground she took off running, her hand on her gun holstered under the coat. Dressed in her normal hunting gear, kevlar, vest and her coat she was ready for a hunt. The adrenaline coursed through her body as she raced after her prey.
They were fast and she couldn't six of them, the way they all too easily leapt over the fence, more like flying almost she knew they weren't human and that gave her all the excuse she needed to keep chasing. They hit the next street right at a busy intersection. That didn't deter her one bit. She ran fast, rolling over the hood of a car.
"Get out of the fucking way!"
She screamed at a group of people on the sidewalk ahead, thankfully they parted before she barreled through. That was when she caught sight of them again, going down the stairs to the subway. Abigail wasn't a fool, she'd checked into these things when she got the chance, the trains stopped running at midnight. Which meant they were hitting tunnels. "Fuck!"
She was not looking forward to this at all.
