WHO: Rogue and Gambit
WHAT: Rogue's discovered a few things and wants to go directly to the source.
WHEN: 6PM
WHERE: Griffith Park; northern entrance
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
Although Rogue hadn't really mentioned the meeting with the man who knew her from some point in her future to much of anyone, he'd been on her mind quite a lot. It was strange, knowing that someone out there knew her when she was older, was friends with her in fact, and yet she knew very little about them. So, when she'd been given the opportunity to ask someone who apparently knew them all as fictional characters, she'd jumped at it.
And hadn't been prepared at all for the onslaught of information. Not to mention the wealth of things that were listed online about him (and her, too) simply by typing their code names into a search engine.
Apparently, not only were she and Remy LeBeau friends, they had some sort of relationship. A very close one, if some of the sites were to be believed. And while Rogue was slowly but surely starting to realize that clearly she wasn't the same Rogue that he knew - that she was very likely an alternate version - it was still unsettling to see all of these supposed facts and not know if they were true or not.
So, after much internal debate, she'd finally decided it was time to go directly to the source. She sent him a message, he agreed to meet, and now here she was. Five minutes until six o'clock and she was seated on a bench at the northern entrance of Griffith Park.
She was wearing her usual ensemble: a white t-shirt, white gloves that came nearly all the way to the sleeves of the shirt, and a pair of dark jeans. Her hair was down and tucked snugly behind each ear. She didn't look quite as out of place as she might were she in her X-Men uniform, but she certainly didn't feel like she fit in. Especially not now that she knew that any number of the people passing by on the sidewalk might recognize her from some form of entertainment in this world.
With a soft sigh, she glanced toward the entrance of the park and silently willed Remy to hurry up and arrive already. At least with someone else around, she wouldn't feel like she stuck out as much as she did at the moment.
