Who: Anakin Skywalker (closed)
What: A familiar presence
Where: his penthouse apartment
When: Afternoon
Rating: G
Anakin Skywalker was leaning over the worktable in his apartment. He'd set a room aside just for this sort of thing, needing a place where he could tinker without driving Padmé crazy. He'd already taken apart every piece of technology in the penthouse at least thrice, made improvements on several, including his computer, repaired his arm, and modified his lightsaber.
Now was time for the next modification.
The crystals had been extremely hard to come by, but Anakin was resourceful. It had taken time to find stones that would react to the Force in the way he required. He wouldn't tell his wife where he'd finally stolen acquired the gems, but he felt the purpose was justified. And he thought she would be glad to see that he was no longer weilding the Sith blade.
He would keep the red-bladed 'saber, however. The crystals were difficult enough to locate on this planet, in any color.
It was as he was focusing his energy, gathering strength to fuel the crystals, that Anakin felt a stirring in the Force. A presence... one he'd not felt since--
Anakin's blue eyes opened, wide. "Obi-Wan," he whispered, his cybernetic hand clenching in anger. The memories his former Master's presence brought were disturbing; the scent of brimstone, the heat of molten lava, the vision of flames across his body.
His calm state of mind severely damaged, Anaki set aside the unfinished lightsaber. He didn't want to damage the blade or its energy with anger. He would finish it later.
