"Not in this way no." he said. "My friend Tao reads and writes. I've never had to." he said. "It wasn't necessary. Tao is a man of science and thinking. He thinks too much." he said. "I am a warrior." At the offer to teach him to read he smirked. "You could try." he said and chuckled. "You might fail."
Inside he moved to sit on the circular couch, pulling his feet up to sit cross legged. Codo and Podo wiggled out of the pouch and scurried up along the back. He turned and watched them as they ran in little circles, smiling at his little companions as he waited for Cimorene. He turned and smiled up at her when she came back. "I'm glad I could help you." he said, dropping his feet then standing. Looking back at the ferrets, he spoke to them with his mind then after they chittered something at him the two took off towards the stairs. He turned and looked back at Cimorene. "Were you told how to find your bed?" he asked. "Mine is a few levels up." he said, pointing towards the stairs. "I use those to come and go." he said.
