L.A. was still new to the Boy Wonder. He didn't quite have his footing yet. However he was a fast learner. He was perched ontop of Wayne Enterprises ironically. It was the highest vantage point he could find in the particular area of city he'd been covering. The evening had been pretty quiet, almost to the point of boredom. At least he had time to create a mental map of the city. Ten degrees north of him was demon territory. Demons existed. It was still hard to process. Ten miles west was Hollywood and the star circuit. He could see it even from where he skulked on the ledge of that decorated building. It was lit up like the fourth of July. Reminded him alot of Monte Carlo actually. Bright lights, clubs, chop shop's, probably more than a few seedy mob operational bases.
Tim yawned as he watched the streets below like a hawk for any sign of suspicious movement. Anything out of the ordinary would do. Batman had shown him the vampires, shown him the tools and the ways to fight them effectively. He even carried holy water in his utility belt now. A stake didn't fit, but he kept it in his boot instead. It was cold out, but he'd seen worse. Bludhaven used to snow so why was he whining? He could see his breath whenever he exhaled. His cape wrapped around his thin body to help keep him warm, he squinted through his domino mask at the sound of a scuffle in the alley below him. He was much like Batman when it came to crime fighting, kept a pretty low profile and made sure to give equal social opportunity to both his civilian and uniformed self. Now wasn't the time for low profile.
Dropping from the ledge through the air with a silent agile grace Robin landed without a sound behind a much taller man. Who in fact wasn't a man at all. But fanged and hungry for blood, vampire. Robin was used to being out sized and out numbered so this was honestly nothing new to him. He faced the challenge with little animosity. Very rarely did a Robin get away with intimidation anyways, so he relied on his wit and whistled. "No wonder you creeps stick to the shadows, I mean really look at those clothes. The eighties called, they want their look back." His insult got the taller vampire's attention and that was just what he wanted. Batman always told him to anger his opponents whenever possible. It made them sloppy and then they made mistakes. "That look died at least twenty years ago, you really expected to fool someone like that?" Robin gave a smug look. The vampire took the bait and charged him. Tim ducked low and struck upwards with a harsh fast movement. Stake to the heart. The vampire turned to dust. Maybe he was adjusting better than he thought.
Then again in the vampire world the night was still young. And where there was one vampire, there were more. Like hyena's they traveled in packs and Robin was about to learn the hard way. He dusted off his black gloved hands. " I should really ask Batman about a good drycleaner. I bet theirs one in this city who specializes in vampire dust.." He said to no one in particular and turned around to find faces staring him down venomously. "...Eep?" Tim backed up trying to get some space between him and the small pack. "Don't suppose you guys just wanna...talk this out?" They smirked and stepped forward. Robin stepped back and reached for another stake from his other boot. Counting five bodies at least. Here he thought this was going to be a quiet night. Unlatching the holywater from his utility belt he threw it at them and they hissed backing up slightly. Tim jumped up to hang onto a fire escape ladder just a few feet above their heads. Enough space to buy himself a couple seconds to come up with a plan while they jumped for his feet and claws scraped his boots. He kicked one in the head and glared as it fell backwards.
