He'd said they weren't over, but she couldn't help but feel that somehow she had just made the worst mistake of her life. Ernie had practically stated that he wasn't sure if they ought to continue their relationship and it was all her fault. For now there was nothing else to say for she didn't have any words. Hannah just watched him walk away. Once he was out of view she headed toward the exit herself. Tonight had not turned out the way she had expected.
