Ernie and Hannah
"Ernie, don't," she plead with him as he turned to move away from her. "I'm sorry," tears streamed down her face but what did he care. "Don't walk away, please," she begged.
She needed him to need her. She needed to know he needed her with his actions not just his words. The stress of the last two nights had built up to a breaking point inside her and she didn't know what else to do. She loved him more than anyone else in the entire world. "Please, I love you," she said the only thing she knew at the moment. She didn't know how to make it right. She didn't know how to fix whatever was broken. She did know she loved him and after being with him these past months couldn't live without him in her life. She also knew that she could never go back to being just his friend.
"Don't leave us like this," she continued her heart feeling like it had been torn out and thrown on the floor when he said the word home. She knew that this time he didn't include her in that sentiment. That he meant his flat, one without her, one that he likely didn't want to see her in again. This was why she usually cleaned. The one time she'd said what was on her mind it had ruined her life. She had no where to go, no one to turn to. She couldn't even use her key to her father's because she no longer had a room at her childhood home.
