Ernie could barely believe what he heard from Hannah--he had even trouble believing it was her who was speaking those words to Justin. He had walked up behind her, and grasped at her arm so that she would look at him.
"Hannah--why are you saying this? He probably doesn't mean half of what he's said and--" He was confused and it was clearly written on his face. Just since she never acted this way, and he was fairly certain that she hadn't had too much to drink. "You know as well as I that he's been trying his best to..."
