Justin felt bereft as he was pulled away from his warm and comfortable Ernie. It was with great concentration that he managed to do as he was made to do, to hold the tea, but he didn't drink it, instead simply staring into it with confusion, still wondering how it had gotten there.
But then Hannah spoke, and the oversensitivity brought on by his drunken mind picked up on one word that drove pain straight into his heart.
"I don't have folks," he said almost tearfully. "I thought you'd know that, Hannah."
Suddenly, he felt tears threatening to spill from his eyes. He shoved the tea back into Hannah's hands and started turning away. "I think I need to be alone right now..."
