George was just closing up the shop and wondering what he was going to do for the rest of the night. It had been a bit of slow day at the shop, and he was terribly bored, so he needed something to do instead of just going up to his flat and sleeping for a rediculous amount of time. Then he realized it would be an excelent chance to visit Dean in St. Mungos and maybe bring him something to cheer him up. He ran around the shop quickly, grabbing a few random things that would at least keep Dean busy, before he hurried off to St. Mungos.

When he arrived, he was pointed in the right direction, and easily found Dean's room. He knocked on the door before entering, then walked over to his mates bed. "Hey," he said with a small smile. "Thought I could bring you a few things to keep you from dying from boredome." He plopped the bag he'd put everything in down on Dean's bed next to him. "Just a few things, and none that will make you sick or shock you or hurt at all, just the fun harmless stuff. How you feeling?"

George smiled, he seemed to be doing better than he'd expected him to be, and he was glad that his visit wasn't an intrusion. So, a joke seemed like a good idea to him after assessing the situation. "Well you look great," he said sarcastically with a grin. "But I bet I should see the other guy, yea?"

"Oh I'm sure the staff will hate you by the time you've made it through these things, lots of noise and distraction toys. Oh, and this one is my personal favorite," he pulled out a little square device with a screen covering the majority of the surface. He popped a circular object off the back, and it floated out of his hand to sit in the air between them. "This is actually a prototype, so you'll get to be my tester on it." He tapped the screen with the end of his wand and it lit up. After a moment, the screen showed the lay out of St. Mungos. "It scans the building or area it's in, then you can send the little ball to anywhere on the map. The ball acts as a visual transmitter to the screen, and you can choose what sound you want it to make, and then just wait for some unsuspecting person to wander in and start driving them mad with sounds they can't figure out where they're coming from. If it works properly, I have a feeling I'll get angry letters from lots of Hogwarts professors."

Dean gave George a weak smile and chuckle in response. "That was about the first thing Seamus said too," he replied. A joke was probably the best way to break the ice, and Dean was extremely appreciative of George's coming to visit. He needed to see his friends after the past few days.

Dean shifted slightly, to get a better look at what George had brought, his smile getting a little wider. The new invention in particular was really interesting and Dean could immediately see its potential to annoy the older generation. But better yet, it would keep him extremely entertained. "This is brilliant, George! How'd you come up with this?" He scanned it with dark, interested eyes, noting that he could easily hold the device with just his one hand. Good.
