Adrian Pucey ([info]everupward) wrote in [info]pandorarpg,
"Of course. Most people rarely thing logically as it is. Add in something that causes fear and panic and that last bit of rationality jumps out of the window. Someone points fingers and the rest suffer a mob mentality and follow suit. It makes the entire mess difficult for the ones actually trying to get something done."

It didn't help that this witch had been clever so far, but she'd made a few mistakes: leaving people who could identify her alive. There were no clear names yet - besides this Pandora business - but it wouldn't be long before someone who knew her name recognised her face.

Adrian's coffee arrived surprisingly quickly and he declined both cream and sugar, preferring it black. He gave Kinjal another amused look at the mention of Roger Davies. "Well that could very easily end in what both of you might consider a conquest," Adrian replied, and then choked on a laugh when she added that last bit.

"Your family would have a collective apoplexy. I'd almost suggest convincing them that was what was happening. Merlin knows I'd more that once wondered whether pretending something similar would push my mother over the final edge," he added with a wry smile.
