Entry tags:!status: complete, ^date: november 14 2003, character: dean thomas, character: jayne dough, npc: pandora zurlo

Characters: Dean, Seamus's mum, Jaynedora
Setting: Diagon Alley first, then...wherever. Friday the 14th, around 5:30pm.
Summary: Dean meets up with Seamus's mum, and they're both surprised by someone Dean recognises.
Rating: Worksafe, possible disturbing imagery

Dean wasn't worried about Seamus's mum showing that day. He was actually a bit grateful. Focusing on her meant he wasn't going to be focusing on the nightmares and murders for a few hours at least. He asked if he could shift his hours around at work that day, and so, at around 5:30, he was available to take Mrs. Finnigan to the Leaky to meet up with Seamus.

The whole time of course, Dean chatted with her, answering some questions and trying his best to neatly dodge others. That wasn't easy. It wasn't at all hard to tell where Seamus got his personality from. To be fair though, it only endeared Mrs. Finnigan to Dean more. "I called my mum Sunday," he promised, wincing slightly under the look that was given him. What, wasn't Sunday recent enough?

"And when's the last time you've gone round to see her?" Mrs. Finnigan didn't so much ask the question as demand it, and Dean winced again. Not recently enough, of course. They headed down towards the Leaky, after Mrs. Finnigan had insisted on stopping in a a shop first.

Dean could only watch as she came over to him and spoke. He wasn't really listening. He could only see the body of Mrs. Finnigan there in the alley. He tried. He tried to protect her and failed. He glared at the witch who'd killed her, the only thing he could do as she gave him an idea what was in store for him.

She disapparated them and left him alone in a room in the dark, presumably to think and worry on the upcoming torture. But all Dean could think about was how Seamus's mum was gone and there was no way to let him know where he himself was.

Dean was just going to have to get through this somehow. He just didn't know how.
